Jupiter in the Morning Sky

Jupiter will become a morning star this month. It has begun its climb out of the Sun's glare into the dawn sky.

Look for the planet shining brightly at -2 magnitude just above the glow of the rising Sun starting this week. Each day it will climb higher and be easier to see, heading for opposition on September 21st.
