You know you are a blogger when you choose lodgings based in the availability of high speed internet access.
I find myself blogging and browsing from hotel beds, Starbucks, or in this case from the back porch of a very pleasant bed & breakfast. I give a silent word of thanks to the engineers who dreamed and developed the technologies that became the 802.11 wireless standards.
Fortunately the bed and breakfast we stay at while in La Grande offers decent WiFi. Imagine a little porch over an immaculate garden of lawns and flower beds. The day may have been hot, but the evening is deliciously cool, birds sing and flit by while the house's cats prowl the grounds. OK, maybe a little less imagination, just check out the photo. This is blogging at it's worst?
Internet access will be unavailable for the last part of this trip. I face the imminent loss of all access, a blackout that will last for three weeks. Not only will there be no internet, but no cell phone, no 3G access, no radio television, no newspapers! But it will be worth it...
