Tonight a beautiful crescent moon will join Venus high in the sunset. It will not be a close pairing, just over 7° apart, but the bright pair will be conspicuous.
Venus is but one of a line of bright planets visible in the evening sky. Just 16° from the horizon at 7pm is Mercury, Venus will be hard to miss shining at -4.1 magnitude. Higher above both Saturn and Mars are visible, simply follow the line.
