The 2011 MATE ROV competition has received some nice coverage in the local press...

A great video by Baron at Hawai'i 24/7 that gives a nice sense of the event. There is a familiar face in the last bit, not looking to bad thanks to clever editing!
Article in the Hawaii Tribune-Herald. Both articles list all the award winners.

Congratulations to the Hilo HS/Waiakea Alliance, their ROV really was a great bit of garage engineering. They took the top prize in the Ranger Class and a chance to attend the national competition.
