I realize that tempers can flare and some people may say things that they might otherwise not say.  But strong emotion can also reveal the truth behind the facade that we all maintain.  What is revealed under stress can be our finest or our worst. <\/p>\n<p><figure id=\"attachment_15450\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-15450\" style=\"width: 150px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/darkerview.com\/wordpress\/?attachment_id=15450\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-15450\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/darkerview.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/IonaFacebook-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"Iona Facebook Post\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" class=\"size-thumbnail wp-image-15450\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-15450\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">A Facebook posting full of obscenity and threats.<\/figcaption><\/figure>I have seen several Facebook posts that threaten violence to telescope supporters, and have received reports of threats from others who work on the mountain.  Sometimes it just crosses the line.  This is the case with one prominent individual opposing the construction of TMT&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>My thanks to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ilind.net\/\" target=\"_blank\">Ian Lind<\/a> for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ilind.net\/2015\/04\/24\/obscenity-laced-facebook-post-calls-for-killing-telescope-supporters\/\" target=\"_blank\">covering this on his blog<\/a> as well as posting the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ilind.net\/2015\/04\/25\/response-from-the-mauna-kea-hui\/\" target=\"_blank\">response from the Mauna Kea Hui<\/a>.
