{"id":27776,"date":"2020-05-19T20:49:53","date_gmt":"2020-05-20T06:49:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/darkerview.com\/wordpress\/?p=27776"},"modified":"2020-05-19T20:49:55","modified_gmt":"2020-05-20T06:49:55","slug":"sh2-54-in-hydrogen-alpha","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/darkerview.com\/wordpress\/?p=27776","title":{"rendered":"Sh2-54 in Hydrogen Alpha"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Sharpless 2-54 is an often overlooked nebula complex just 2\u00b0 north of the far more famous <a href=\"http:\/\/www.darkerview.com\/scripts\/query.php?M16\">Eagle Nebula M16<\/a>.  It is actually part of the same nebula complex the stretches from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.darkerview.com\/scripts\/query.php?M17\">M17<\/a> through M16 to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.darkerview.com\/scripts\/query.php?Sh2-54\">Sh2-54<\/a> and beyond.  The nebula is much fainter, with not much appreciable without a camera attached to the telescope, thus the complex is not as well known.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The star cluster <a href=\"http:\/\/www.darkerview.com\/scripts\/query.php?NGC6604\">NGC6604<\/a> is found within the nebula, a collection of young stars recently formed from these clouds of gas and dust.
