I wondering if there is any planes to build such a taditional waka. I am a New Zealand Maori and to see a sailing waka that holds so much potential in away of building youth activertise around sailing and navigation and history would be so up lifting.
There are quite a few traditional waʻa in the islands with regular voyages, usually taking a few young folks on-board to teach the old navigation techniques… http://www.hokulea.com/
Hello Andrew,
congratulations, a great website!
I have a question about using one of your pictures as a starting point for a painting. Could you please contact me via my e-mail address? Sorry for the inconvenience, I can’t find your address.
