A trough rich in moisture is passing the islands, leading to very active thunderstorms and even hail at the summit. We completed segex today, with thunder rumbling outside the dome. You caught this right at the best moment! I think my photo was 15 minutes too late.
I stepped out while it was still actively hailing, it stopped after a few minutes. I do enjoy our mountains various aspects, from beautiful sunny days to sheets of ice over everything!
