We Have an Arsonist Again
Well? How else do you explain three simultaneous brush fires spread out along several miles of highway? This happened a few times about six years ago.
This is this afternoon along the Mamalahoa Highway and the new Saddle Road just above Waikoloa. Just got the text message of the road closure.
Fire and Flood
It is bad… A wildfire burns a few thousand acres. Follow that up with torrential rains to sweep all of the ash and mud onto the reef. There is a reason we are not diving this weekend. We had planned to, the water needs a week to clear out the murk. It will be interesting to see the impact on the reef.
Brush Fire near Kaloko
A big brush fire in Kona today, just north of Kaloko. We were in the area for some diving and a few errands in Kona. A lot of fire department equipment responding, plus the helicopter doing air drops.
